Alright, this has been fun so far, and I’m hoping everyone else has enjoyed getting to hear the latest United album. More so however, I hope that as you listen and read that you find a connection point with the lyrics. That you place yourself amongst the words knowing that the absolute truth and purpose for your life can only be found in the freedom that Jesus has gave us.

It excites me to know that others are being blessed by the powerful lyrics of the songs on this album. I hope as I continue to do reviews and post the songs on here, that more and more readers will come to know what it means to find freedom and to be loved.

Now on to today’s song. We are now on the third track on this album, titled “More Than Anything“.

Can you put your mind around Jesus coming to this earth with only ONE desire. And out of all of the selfish desires that He could have had, that we have:

• Marriage

• Parenting
• Large Savings
• Easy Transportation
• The nicest things
• A house
• Profitable Business
• …and so on…

Yet His desire was for us. It had nothing to with himself, but was completely selfless. He wanted to free us of our sin so that we could come before the Father and know Him. To do that, He sacrificed His own life for ours. However, there is one step that we have to do, that Jesus could not do for us. We have to submit ourselves and recognize God as our Savior. Giving all of ourselves to Him, just as Christ gave His WHOLE life for us.

To end it, instead of focusing on just saying what you think of the song, also share your heart. If there is something you need prayer for, or that you are struggling to give up in order to reach that relationship with God, let’s pray together.
