Pray for Kate McRae

This story has rocked my heart.
Completely.
I cannot even imagine going through such trials as this one.
Take a moment, watch this video of a story of a young girl, Kate, who is dealing with a brain tumor that is threatening her life. After watching the video, please take some time daily to pray for her, her family, the doctors, and all involved.
This video was recorded on July 2, 2009.

Pissed Off…eekK!

Tonight someone got pissed.
Yep, at a church family gathering, someone got pissed.
It happens to the best of us.
We’re human.
However, later the person replied to me with this statement:
Don’t trip, we cool man. I’m a grown up, I’ll get over it
My response was this:
I think as guys we’ve been raised in the idea that we get pissed, then get over it and move on. I just however, completely disagree with this whole logic. If two people are upset or pissed, or just one of them, the healthy thing …

How He Loves – DCB

This blog will be short and to the point.
At Dialogue Church we often worship to the song How He Loves by John Mark McMillan. It’s one of the songs that reaches Dialogue’s core. Today I was informed of a David Crowder Band version of this song. The song is to be launched on their new album I believe to be titled ‘Church Music‘. Needless to say this excited me.
Below is a link for you to go and listen to the full song before the album comes …

Love Them Like Jesus

“You can say what you think, but you will live what you believe”
-Mark Hall

Today I woke up to a message from Christian’s,one of my student’s, mom. The message stated the following:
Could not sleep. I wanted you to know we all need extra prayers at this time. Andy passed away today. Lizzy and I found him around 7:30 and he was already gone. We are not sure what happened or when but he had been there at least 12 hours per the coroner. His parents, sister and boys are in …

12. Yours Forever

Oh snap, we have made it to the last song on Hillsong United’s latest album. I have this bittersweet feeling inside right now. I’ve enjoyed digging in deep into these tunes, but even more so I’ve enjoyed reading the thoughts and views of our guests blogger’s each day. Speaking of, today’s guest blogger to dig into Yours Forever is Matt Lloyd. Matt is a singer/song writer. He is currently the lead singer of the band MLP(Matt Lloyd Project) and also leads worship at a church …

11. Your Name High

What’s up Vagabond’s?! It’s true, I skipped a day yesterday. I decided that since it was my day off, that I would clean and spend it with my hot girl. Truthfully, it was really nice to go “offline” for the evening. However, no worries, we are back and ready to finish out this album today and tomorrow.
Today’s guest blogger is Brian Johnson. Brian I met in a blogger small group that was held here on Running Like A Vagabond around a year ago. Brian’s …

10. Arms Open Wide

Moving into the last three songs, we kick off the stretch with the song Arms Open Wide. This is one of the purest songs on the album. This is easily one of my favorites to play when I need to just focus in quiet solitude.
Today’s special guest blogger is a friend of mine, Joshua Gustin, in which I volunteered with for two years with Youth For Christ, attended church together for two years, and have shared our love for the Cincinnati Reds since the words “hello”. …
